Firefighter Pre-Employment SCBA User Exam

JobCare Occupational Health Services will work with you to meet your OSHA compliance needs. Our staff members are experienced in occupational health, critical care, and emergency nursing along with first hand firefighter experience and training in HAZMAT Response. We provide quality testing services with a working knowledge of the environment our clients are exposed to.

Our Post-Offer Employment SCBA user exam consists of:

  • Health History Review
  • Advanced Practice Exam
  • Vital Signs Assessment
  • Baseline Audiogram
  • Resting 12-lead EKG
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
  • Urinalysis
  • Mandatory OSHA Medical Questionnaire for Respirator Clearance
  • Sub-Maximal Exercise Fitness Testing

Our team is supported by licensed healthcare providers who specialize in occupational health issues. Testing will be reviewed and interpreted based on screening results. Confidential, individual reports are provided for each participant. The Fire Chief is provided with a listing of clearance for firefighting and any recommendations for follow-up if necessary.
