Post Offer Health Assessment & Physical Screening

Employment Screening

Primary prevention and health promotion are health protection measures that prevent injury and illness. Primary prevention of illness and injury in the workplace is a major factor in cost savings to employers.

JobCare offers a variety of services to assist employers in providing a work environment safe for employees, as well as assisting with screening employees to determine physical abilities to perform the work required.

Post-Offer Health Assessment

Health assessments are performed by an Occupational Health nurse to determine significant illnesses, injuries, or current health problems requiring referral and/or follow-up with a physician. The assessment may include a drug testing component and/or compliance screening such as hearing, respirator fit testing, etc. to meet regulatory requirements. The job offer is contingent on passing screening parameters set forth by the employer, determined by type of work to be performed.

Post-Offer Physical Screening

A physical component of post-offer assessment performed by an Occupational Therapist which determines the applicants physical abilities to perform the essential functions of the designated job. Essential Functions are the tasks that create the position.
